Marc Neufeld, born in southern Germany, studied theology (Dipl.), medicine (Dr.) and church music (Dipl. B) in Tübingen and Vienna, Composition and Theory (MA) in Zurich. He lives in Switzerland and works as a medical psychotherapist, composer, musician, artist, theologian. Hymnological diploma thesis on Song and Motet "Lied und Motette" ("Jesu, meine Freude", GRIN Verlag), dissertation on The Importance of Songs in Life ("Die Bedeutung von Liedern in der Lebensgeschichte", Reichert-Verlag, 2011). Seminars on transdisciplinary topics in his fields of expertise (spirituality in everyday life, psychotherapeutic basics, creativity, composition, music theory, poetry, choir singing, ...). Publications in Zeitschrift für Musik-, Tanz- und Kunsttherapie, Zeitschrift der Gesellschaft für Musiktheorie (ZGMTH), among others. Lectures at the Congress for Music in Medicine, Therapy and Counselling in Hamburg; at the Internationale theologische Bodenseekonferenz in St. Gallen, at the Symposium Klangsprache | Sprachklang at Leopold-Mozart-Zentrum Augsburg. Artistically, he deals with poetry, fairy tales, art installations (wind art festival "bewegter wind"), artistic research, photo art (exhibition "Konstellative Praxis" Psychiatrie Baselland, Liestal, 2021), improvisation concerts and sound meditations with organ, piano, choir conducting. His compositions include works for choir, songs, solo, chamber music and orchestra. He is currently working on a publication on trust- and image-research; the book "Vertrauen als Bild", based on a late medieval mural about the Apostolic Creed in Schaffhausen, will be published at Theologischer Verlag Zürich (TVZ) in 2027.
