Description
AHaBaH (hebr. love) was written for a Vernissage in the St. Johann Church in Schaffhausen.
L. Stocker (Basel) had made 8 sculptures placed on pillars in the choir of the church: Godfather with Adam, Mose, Jesaja, John the Baptist, Archangel Gabriel, Maria, Christus Pantokrator, St. Paul. The music is considered to be the link between the sculptures: the spirit of love, which they share. The whole cycle is based on the Gregorian Chant „Factus est repente de coelo sonus“.

AHaBaH 1 is the first movement of this cycle about the story of love and of the sculptures. It thematizes the process of creation and emergence: the blowing of wind and moving spirit, the gentle first word, the work in an atelier, and the development of the figures, sculptures. At the end of the first movement they have found together.
