Description
A little canon to learn the relative solmization syllables do re mi fa so la ti do.
With these syllables one can start to learn to feel the "diatonic affects" (Malte Heygster / Manfred Grunenberg, Handbuch der relativen Solmisation, 11).
The „do“ can also be sung with the original „ut“.
In part four you can skip the „so“, if you want to avoid the fifth parallel or to study the minor chord.
The alternative syllables show the possibilities for „mutation“ as it was usual in the middle ages; in the parts the following Hexachords are used:
1. Hexachordum naturale
2. Hexachordum molle
3. Hexachordum durum
4. Hexachordum naturale.
