Description
At the upper end of the manual fix the six tones (keys) of the whole-tone scale (c, d, e, f#, g#, a#) and gradually move them to the lower end of the manual. Play with the stops of the labial pipes. First quiet wind and whistling noises can be heard; in the centre of the manual they become louder masses of sound; at the low end of the manual a fluctuation sound disapperas, resembling an engine hum.
In this way, an ambivalent sound result is created with inner unity and clarity, but with an so to speak outwardly audible richness of sound.
