Description
AHaBaH (hebr. love) was written for a Vernissage in the St. Johann Church in Schaffhausen.
L. Stocker (Basel) had made 8 sculptures placed on pillars in the choir of the church. The music is considered to be the link between the sculptures: the spirit of love, which they share. The whole cycle is based on the Gregorian Chant „Factus est repente de coelo sonus“. AHaBaH 5 is the fifth movement of this cycle. It was reduced to a Duo for the premiere and is, so to say, the short version of the Moderato. The movement represents the building of new out of the old, out of remains, the coming of the new.
